If you are using a smaller topper, you may want to place it closer to the hair line. If you are using a larger topper you’ll want it to be centered on the top of your head.

How do I choose the right size?
You will want to measure the length and width of the area that you are concerned about, and pick something as close to this size as possible. Keep in mind in most cases that “less is more.”
How do I pick the best color?
Pick the lightest color in your natural hair, using the shades on our color chart. You can also submit a photo and one of our topper consultants will provide you with a perfect match.
Do I need my Topper customized?
Even though we have beautiful natural colors, we do suggest having them customized to match your natural hair. This way it looks like it’s growing out of your head. We offer customization on our website from our consultants. You can also bring it to a professional stylist who is trained in Toppers. We do not recommend you trying this yourself.
How do I care for my Topper?
Unlike your natural hair, the topper won’t get dirty with your natural oils.
For everyday wearers, we recommend washing it every other week using a gentle shampoo and a hydrating mask each time.
If you don’t use much products on your hair, you can bypass the shampoo and just rinse and use a hydrating mask.
Can I use styling tools & products?
After washing, spray in a hydrating detangler, brush through and shape as you would your natural hair. Place on topper stand and let dry overnight.
In the morning you can style with a dryer and curling iron on low heat setting.
We do not recommend a flat iron to style.
How do I store my Topper?
We do not recommend sleeping in your topper. When you take it off at night, pin it to a topper stand to maintain the style.
How long will the Topper last?
Toppers will last up to 2 years with proper care. Unlike your natural hair, when it gets dried out you can't trim off the dried ends.
The topper is cut to match the length of your natural hair, so you won’t want to keep trimming it.
Can I swim or shower with my Topper on?
We do not recommend this for a few reasons. While wearing your topper immersed in water, the weight of the topper will pull on your natural hair and could cause breakage.
Pool chemicals and salt water can cause the hair to dry out that cannot be repaired.
What are the different types of Topper attachments?
We design each topper with special treated clips to make it easy to apply on your own without causing harm to your natural hair.
You can use bobby pins if you want for a more secure hold.
If you want a more permanent solution, your stylist can bead it to your natural hair so you can wake up every morning with your hair topper intact.
