Hair Junky was born out of a deep love for hair and the tenacity to persevere. As a veteran in the hair industry, after her own personal battle with chemotherapy, CEO Becky Mitchell discovered that the options for hair loss from cancer were bleak. Low quality, high cost, and lack of customization were among some of the answers she encountered on her own search for hair confidence during the most vulnerable time in her life.

THE HISTORY OF HAIR JUNKY
THE HISTORY OF HAIR JUNKY
After chemo, Becky emerged cancer free, with a new and re-ignited passion for hair Toppers, and decided to follow her dreams, and brand her own line. Using the toppers she herself had found and used during her recovery from Chemo. Becky decided to bring a safe, affordable and fully customizable dose of confidence to women of all ages looking for a discreet, all-natural solution to hair loss. With a Hair Junky Topper in hand, “I’ve tried every method out there,” she laughs, “and nothing compares to the products we offer.”

THE STORY BEHIND THE OBSESSION
Becky knew from a young age that she wanted to have a career in the hair industry. As soon as she was old enough, she enrolled in cosmetology school and has continued falling in love with hair every day since. Throughout her career, Becky has faced challenge after challenge. A single mom, raising 3 kids while working in a salon, but nothing could quench her passion for changing her client’s lives.
“I can’t explain the joy I feel when my client turns to see her hair in the mirror, and happy tears fill her eyes,” she says.
In 2010 Becky was diagnosed with breast cancer. She underwent chemo and radiation, losing much of her own hair. “It was incredibly difficult to look in the mirror and not see the person I had seen for the last some-odd years,” she recalls. With a love for hair still burning in her heart, Becky embarked on her own search for answers to hair loss from chemotherapy and discovered answers that she couldn’t wait to share with the world.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are toppers for me?
Hair toppers are for every woman! Whether you want to have some fun with adding bangs or want to have coverage while you grow out your grays. Hair Toppers are designed to give you a discreet solution to hair loss. If you’re experiencing thinning, breakage or in the beginning stages of hair loss, a hair topper will give you instant coverage and volume. The best part? No one will even know you’re wearing one!
How do I choose the right size?
You will want to measure the length and width of the area that you are concerned about, and pick something as close to this size as possible. Keep in mind in most cases that “less is more.”
How do I pick the best color?
Pick the lightest color in your natural hair, using the shades on our color chart.
You can also submit a photo and one of our topper consultants will provide you with a perfect match.
Do I need my topper customized?
Even though we have beautiful natural colors, we do suggest having them customized to match your natural hair. This way it looks like it’s growing out of your head. We offer customization on our website from our consultants. You can also bring it to a professional stylist who is trained in Toppers. We do not recommend you trying this yourself.
Are Hair Toppers safe for my natural hair?
Toppers are completly safe and will not damage your natural hair if applied correclty. When wearing a topper, you want to be careful not to clip it too tight. Stretching or pulling on the topper to clip it in will eventually pull on your natural hair and pull some out. Bottom line: if you feel it tugging on your natural hair then loosen it!
Why is Hair Junky more affordable than other extension lines?
We are a small stylist owned company, leaving out the middleman to keep the cost down. We’ve created our company to help those that need hair replacement, not only those who want hair replacement.
